Asthma Inhaler Assessment

Over 2.2 million people have asthma in Australia and approximately 80% of those who use inhaler medication do not use it correctly. So if you are like most of us with poor or lazy technique, take 5 minutes to come in and see our Pharmacist who is trained and qualified to assess your asthma inhaler technique. They wont judge you, they have seen it all before.

By assessing your technique you may be able to make some improvements to make your asthma medication more effective. Most people’s technique is not 100% right or 100% wrong but could do with little tweaks or reminders to gain benefits that ultimately may mean using less medication and better asthma control. Reducing the amount of medication you need means less chance of side effects and reduces your total chronic medication load. The Pharmacist can also help you out with an Asthma Attack Action plan, so that when under pressure you know exactly how to cope.
